Learned

I wish I learned how to write a good resume. Whenever I apply job, I always have to look it up on google how to write a good resume. I don't really know how to organize them and make it simple and short.

Team iPhone

I am Team iPhone because is simple and easy to use it. iPhone icon is the same as iPod and I'm use to the icon.

Social Media

I am not a big fan of social media. I used facebook because I want to be able to chat with my friends and I used google a lot because it was the best tool for everything.

Reader

No I am not a reader. I don't like to read. I'd rather watch movie than read. For example "The Note Book", I didn't read the book but I watch the movie and I understand perfectly fine.

Vanilla or Chocolate

If I was asked to have Ice-cream I wold go with vanilla because I like creamy and if is chocolate I can't taste the cream. But if I was asked to have candy, I'd go with chocolate because chocolate is the best. I wouldn't compare chocolate candy with any other candies.

Creative person

No I am not a creative person but I would come up with lots of ideas and I would tell my friends and create those ideas.

Major

I am pursuing in Elementary Teacher (3rd grade). I always thought to myself that I would want to be a nurse someday but when I work at Valley View Elementary School in 2012-2013 I see myself teaching kids than working in Medical field. I am patience with kids and I like to teach the little ones.

TV shows

Oh my gosh I am kind of embarrass to share the TV shows that I'm obsessed because they were too childish so I'd rather not share it.

Nation/ International tragedy

I believe I was only in my hometown (Burma) when a national/International tragedy and triumph occurred because the Mad Men episode ring a bell to me.

Summer break plans

My Summer Break Plans is as follow:

Offensive word

A word that I personally find offensive that others may use casually is cuss word. I don't like cuss words, any of the cuss words because to me cuss word is for the people that don't have good humor and they are from very lower education. For example I don't really think that a well educated person (teacher) would yell at you with using bad word in front of people. I don't cuss at people even when I am really mad.

Recent movie

Hunger Games (Mocking Jay part 1). I thought it was a good movie than the previous films, because Mocking jay is full of compelling talking points about media, war, socialism, tyranny, women's roles, and the idea that people need a symbol, to rally around and have faith in during difficult times.

Reading in High School

• A piece of writing I enjoyed reading in high school is "Romeo and Juliet" by Shakespeare because we also get to watch the movie in both old version and new version. I find that it was fun to learn Shakespeare's use of older version of English in his writing and looking for the meaning of what it meant. 
• A piece of wringing I dislike reading is " The Great Gatsby" by Nick Carraway because at the end Mr. Gatsby die. It was suppose to be Tom that die because in the story, Mr. Gatsby and Daisy are in love so they should live happily ever after but instead Gatsby die.  

Final Blog Post

• My favorite project this semester is Historical project because it was a group project. You get to spend time researching with your group members. It takes a lot of time and more work but after all it was easy for me. 
•  My least favorite project this semester is Revision project because we have to write the reader reflection paper with the revision paper. It is good that we get to make up the paper and get full credit for it but I think we have done enough writing and I think it is good enough. 
• I learned that when writing a paper it is important to have thesis at the beginning of the paragraph because without thesis, the readers will not understand the message that the writer want to tell. 
• I wish I learned about how to write a good resume because resume is the one and most important thing we need to know in our lives. I'll be honest, I don't know how to write resume in professional way. 

Facebook

I don't think Facebook is not your journal, a place to share your feeling, or a place to cuss. People don't realize how it can harm them later in their lives because all the things we share in public stays there forever. It can chase you down later when you apply for jobs and stuff. Have private life and don't share too much information online. 

Born in May

If any of the picture saying is true, I would be the most happiest girl in the world. I was born on May 12. 

Rainy day

What to do on a rainy day?  

I stay home, stay in my room, watch movie, sleep all day, and eat and then sleep again. My favorite day of all the days because I can excuse myself from not doing anything on a rainy day. 

Dream

I always want to go to Rome. That was my biggest dream ever. Luckily I had the chance to go because Pope Francis choose 20 new Cardinals on November 2014 and one of the new Cardinals was from Burma. So I was able to go to Rome to celebrate this big special event. 

24 hours

Sometimes 24 hours a day is not enough for me. I would get up at 7:50 am and then ready for work. On a Monday I have class from 1-2:15 pm and then return to work 3-5 pm. And then tutor from 5:30-7:30 pm and then work out from 8-10 pm. By the time I get home I was exhausted and want to rest right away.  

Last minute

 Whenever I was asked to do something, I always wait for last minute. I don't know why but I always do. I still haven't learn to fix but make it worse. If I didn't finish something on time I would find a reason to cover it. Bad habit. 

Bridesmaid

I've never been ask to be bridesmaid before. But this year I was ask to be bridesmaid for three different weddings. I'm like ahhhhh is this real?? 

My Birthday

It 4 more days I will be another year older. I'm excited and can't wait. I've been asking myself lately, what I want for my birthday? Money is what I need the most becuase the more I get older the more responsible I have to take care of. 

Summer

Summer have finally begun. Omg I have lots and lots of things to do. Three months is not enough. The best thing about this year summer is I will get to sleep in because my work offer me to work Monday- Friday from 12-5. This year summer will be the best summer ever. 

Six grade camp experienced

It was 6 grade camp. All six graders went to Clear Lake Camp for a week. Everybody have at least two to three full bags of clothes, blankets, and other stuff. For me it was like a one night trip because I only bought a sleeping bag, pillow, 2 jeans, a jacket, and 2 shirts. I didn't know what to bring with me. I ended up borrowing my friend's stuff. Best camp experienced ever. So now if I were to travel for 3 days and night I bring almost half closet stuff. 

Healthy food

I try to eat healthy food, work out, and get enough sleep. But when I'm really hungry, I no longer care about eating healthly food. I would get grab whatever would make my stomach full. 

Spring

One thing I don't like about Spring. Too much rain and too much likely to have thunderstorm. Spring is the most beautiful season of all the seasons but also the worst allergies time of all the seasons. But everybody loves it because everything around you is green and fresh.

Spring break

Well now that Spring Break is over, everything went back to normal. Work, schoo, and more work. The best thing happend over the break was that my car got tow in New York because I parked at where the sign says "NYPD license plate only". So I ended up looking for my car in New York all night long. It was the best Spring Break I've ever had. 

Ready

 I am done working for this week and so ready to take a vacation. My plans are:

1. Eat lots of food
2. Sleep 
3. Spa
4. Shopping
5. Eat, eat, eat

Easter

I have the best Easter this year because I was the Coordinator for all the programs that was followed after Easter dinner. We have lots of food, dances, and other activities provided. My friends and I performed Burmese tradition dance with the most beautiful outfits. I hope everyone had a nice Easter as well.

                                                                 

Plan for Spring Break

I don't usually do anything during Spring break time. But this year I am planning on taking vacation to Connecticut to visit a friend and check out the Sushi store that he runs. Other than that I don't have any special things to do. Enjoy your spring break everyone. :)

Cold.....

I've been trying to fight this cold the past few weeks. It seems to get better but then I guess the medicine that I took is a bit too strong that I have to stay-in and not come to class last week. 

Hope everyone stays healthy. Michigan weather!! 

Where is spring?

I thought the season of spring was never this cold before. I thought I could start wearing my dress, sandal, and not my winter boot. Well everything is the opposite, I have to take out my winter boots and coats again. I'm very disappointed about Michigan's weather. 

Weekend

 I love Friday because is the beginning of weekends. Even though I don't get to rest on the weekends, I still love it because I know that I don't have to class and I don't have to work. I can stay up late for as long as I want. I can ditch and say to the people that ask me to help over the weekends "It's my only rest day, let's wait till weekdays". How glorious and how powerful weekends can be. You just gotta love it.

Spring

I can finally now put away all of

my snow boots, winter coats, and most of all I don't have to shovel the snow anymore.I'm enjoying this great weather and I can't wait to wear summer outfits. Yahoo.... 

Guilty pleasure

My guilty pleasure is I love to eat at night before I go to sleep. If I don't eat at that time then It is hard for me to pass the night. I crave for food right before I went to sleep.

 My favorite dish is vegetable fried rice. Made with cooked rice, eggs, and mix vegetables. My favorite dish usually served with corn fritter. Corn fritter was made using white wheat flour fried,corn, and deep fried in hot oil for about 5-10 minutes. In addition, Samosa was served too. Samosa looks like triangle shape. Inside Samosa, cooked potato, green peas, and onion were added. Of course everybody loves desert. My favorite dessert is coconut milk. Coconut milk is made with coconut milk, coconut jelly, and tapioca pearl. Sometimes food coloring are added just to make it more delicious.

I remember back in High School Enlish class that I didn't like learning about the Greek mythology or anything that has to do with arts because I didn't understand a thing. I never really pay attention to the lecture either. One thing I love about English back in High School is that my teacher would sell candy and she would let us eat in her class. I like that we didn't have write essay a lot because I am really bad at writing. My favorite text from that class would be reading Brave New World and learn about how the narrative try to make the story interested for all the readers and catching the readers attention.

Where I grew up is a small village without residentialI  phone lines, no electricity and not much of running water. The roads are not paved until you get to the main road where people travel the most. In this small town there are hardly any vehicles, people either walk, or ride bike. There are hardly any jobs. The hardest thing for parents is enrolling their children to school because when there is no job, there is no income. When there is no income, parents cannot afford money for school. For me, I love school and like to help my parents keep up with their job. My parents own a little grocery store in the village. When I get free time I would stand in front of the check-out counter where people can barely see me and I would be checking them out and be the cashier. I love my hometown even though I now live in a better place. There are no such better place as your old house. 

What is story? What makes a good story?

Story is an account of past events in someone's life of something.
Good story always have the followings:
Theme: A theme tries to tells something that might help us in our own lives.
Plot: most often about a conflict or the struggle that the main character goes through.  
Setting: Place and time must include to make the story be more interesting or familiar.
Character: Before writing, it is important to know the character well. Don't need to describe completely. It's enough to say one or two things about how the character looks or speaks.
Style and Tone: Using the right language can make the readers feel right about the story.
Story structure: Used either first person or third person.

I am thankful for.....

• Waking up every morning being thankful for gift of life
• The thought that something wonderful is about to happen
• The countless blessings God gave me without asking
• Being reached to half way of my life without harm
• Stats thinking more  about the important things
• The difficult times but God lead me through an open gates
• The good and bad of my days of my life
• Surviving while someone, somehow is fight to survive
• Those who said “NO” to me. It’s because of them I did it myself
• All those difficult people in my life because they shown me exactly who I do not want to be
• A pair of shoes that feel really good on my feet, I like my shoes
• All the things that present in my life. i. e. (family, friends, relatives, job, etc.)
• What I have earn in life. i.e. (car, clothes, education, knowledge, etc.)
• Learned to be a thankful person and learned to be a strong person
• Inspired someone to believe in me
• Learned to appreciate and treasure each day
• Bad things in my life because they opened my eyes to good things I weren’t pay attention to before
• The ability to learn even if I feel like this exam might kill me

Favorite Summer Vacation

My favorite summer vacation was when I went to our Burmese Tradition celebration of the National Conference of Burmese-American Catholics (NCBAC) last year at Bowling Green, Kentucky . NCBAC is a Roman Catholic non-profit organization. The focus of NCBAC is to provide spiritual and social growth opportunities as well as support for Catholic and non-Catholic Burmese residing in United States of America. During the events of NCBAC, each state would perform cultural dances, and songs. Special burmese lunch and dinner are provided as well. Usually over 1,000 people would come and join the service. I like this event very much because I get to meet my friends, relatives, and new people.
